Just registered here, and I guess this is my first post. I just got finished completing the topend on a CD I just traded for. I fitted a Jarvis match barrel, Ed Brown Match bushing/oversize link, and tighten the slide to frame fit. All of this had to be fitted. The CD that I have was very easy to work on. The metal was of decent hardness, and was relativly easy to work with. I basically put it together as if it were a bullseye gun. Useing a standard bullseye load, the gun averaged about 3" at 50 yard from a RR. Best group was 1.25", worst was 4" All were 10 shot groups. This is first CD I have ever worked on, so I just thought I would share the experience.

One question I have: What is the size of the front dovetail cut in the slide? Thanks in advance.

The widht is the same as kimber's only a little deeper. I have to file-off some metal on top of slide when I installed a Hi-Viz sight on mine. Sorry, I can't remember the exact dimensions. Safe shooting!!
