Hey everybody,
i'm having a little trouble with a ceiner .22 conversion for a colt commander. The thing only goes into battery about half the time. I have polished the feed ramp and the magazines up. I have also cleaned the chamber and the whole unit. I am thinking it must be the recoil spring, anyone else have the same problem? It probably has about 5,000 rounds through it. The spring is my guess since it comes with a fairly weak spring anyways.

I'd guess the spring also. Like you say they are weak to start with. I've got a Commander size Ciener as well and it can still be finicky.

Just recently tried it on a Kimber, and the slide was hesitating at the rear - as long as you held the trigger back. Release the trigger and it would go into battery.

The reason I mention this, is that the disconnector was dragging due to a heavy sear spring and was slightly long. Combined with the light slide and weak spring, it slowed the cycle. In addition to polishing, you might check for any other drag - HTH!
