So I'm pretty comfortable working on most pistols, but I have very limited experience on a 1911 platform. I would say for this type of work, the closest I've come is changing the grip panels on a SIG P226?
I'm putting together the tools to change the bushings from thin to standard grips and just wanted to hear from some folks who have done it, if?? they had any issues or what seemed to work best? there tool selection? etc.
I'm getting some of the Magna tip drivers from Brownells and have a pretty good selection of flat style screwdrivers?
I've read that some bushing come with red Loctite? if so, did heating work?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I don't know if they would ship to me here "up north" or if it would be cost effective? Shipping these days is crazy, however I do appreciate the advice though. Cheers.
