Ok so i've got a series 1 stainless target in 45. Bought it used, had the ugliest sight combo ever. That aside, I noticed that those 2 parts are plated. I don't recall them ever coming out of the factory. Am I correct? I runs like a machine so i'm not changing them out. Just wasn't to confirm my suspicions.

snyper, my guns were all the II version, with fps. Those parts on mine, total of five Kimbers, appeared to be chromed to look sorta, kinda look like stainless. They all appeared to have chrome plated FPS, extractor and ejector, with the extractor being a slightly different, more yellowish, color. Perhaps the extractor is actually nickeled instead. I never changed any of those parts as I encountered no breakage or other issues with them. I used to have a Springfield Loaded that had these same parts, and the slide stop chrome plated too. My current Target II 9MM, about 6 yrs. old, has been as reliable as any semi-auto I've ever owned. Still has those factory parts...
