I gotta check with my gunsmith on this. I seem to remember that he tried to re-blue a Kimber slide recently, and was shocked to learn that it is stainless! Seems that Kimber ran short of carbon steel slides a while ago, and filled in with stainless appropriately finished to match the rest of the pistol.
classic custom metal
Does anyone know what type of metal the classic custom is made of? Is it possibly stainless steel under the finish, or carbon steel, etc?
