I have been hanging out in the wrong places, you guys are a bad influence. I just ordered the book and CD to go with my just purchased Remington 1911A1. I did this in reverse order, but what the heck. Have a great Christmas all and thanks for all the good info!

The price of that book is a bargain when compared to the knowledge to be learned and how it can save you from making an error in future purchases. I doubt the R-R you just bought will be your last. It's a good read regardless.

I have the "3rd Edition Collector's Guide" too, and it is definitely a must-have for the beginning collector as well as the old-hand pros too. Now I just wish I could afford Clawson's Big Book!!!! Anyone have one they want to get rid of for $40 or $50 buck?!?!? Hey, it's worth a try!!!
