I am moving to Clays. I shoot the Bear Creek .452 diameter 205gr Moly LRNFP for IDPA matches. Please share your loads and OAL. These will be produced on my 550 with winchester large pistol primers and mixed brass. Your knowledge transfer is greatly apperciated! :rock:

For a bullseye 50 yard load, 3.8 grs Clays with a 200 gr H&G 68, I use a 1.250 oal, .473 crimp

I use Wolff 13 lbs variable recoil springs and Wolff 18 lbs hammer springs in both guns.
The Kimber has a FLGR and the Baer has short spring guide with shock-buff.

Loads:
Bullet: 200 gr LSWC BB (H&G 068)
Case: Winchester
Primer: WLP
Powders: 3.7 gr Vihtavouri N310 or
3.7 gr. Clays or
4.2 gr 231
OAL: 1.248” (.928” to the shoulder)
Crimp: .468-.469

For a bullseye 50 yard load, 3.8 grs Clays with a 200 gr H&G 68, I use a 1.250 oal, .473 crimp

Exact same load, but I crimp to .470.

I use a Precision RNFP, 200grs, over 4.2grs of Clays. The bullet profile is similar to most of the .45 ACP hollowpoints on the market, and I've settled on 1.2" for OAL.

C-I, I just meant different headstamp. I haven't shot a .45 for IPSC in a few years, as far as I know it was before the small primer NT brass came out.
