Fellow Reloaders,

I am moving to Clays. I shoot the Bear Creek .452 diameter 205gr Moly LRNFP for IDPA matches. Please share your 200gr loads and OAL. These will be produced on my 550 with winchester large pistol primers and mixed brass. Your knowledge transfer is greatly apperciated!

Exact same load, but I crimp to .470.
I use a Precision RNFP, 200grs, over 4.2grs of Clays. The bullet profile is similar to most of the .45 ACP hollowpoints on the market, and I've settled on 1.2" for OAL.
200gr. LSWC
4.1gr Clays
1.250" col
Federal case
Winchester LP primer.

168pf from my Springfield TRP, cycles with the 16lb. spring, accurate, clean, with not a lot of leading compared to Titegroup.
Gun: Valtro/Custom Colt Series 80

Load: Montana Gold 230gr CMJ, Clays 4.1gr, OAL 1.255, crimp 0.470, Win Small Pistol primers, assorted brass

Chrono: 755fps, 173pf(IPSC major)
Damien and Powderman, any idea what velocity you're getting with the 3.8 grain load?

Win Small Pistol primers, assorted brass
How "assorted" is that brass that it uses small primers? Win NT or the Federal equivalent....anything else?

I get between 780 and 800fps.

C-I, I just meant different headstamp. I haven't shot a .45 for IPSC in a few years, as far as I know it was before the small primer NT brass came out.
