Well if I'm going to do this I may as well do it right. I've heard that Accurate makes probably one of the cleanest powders. Is this true? What about lead-free primers, who makes them? Haven't found them on Midway or Natchez yet for some reason.

Personal opinion only, But IME Vhita powders are the cleanest. Used 320,330, 340. Followed by Clays (with plated or FMJ bullets) Throw all powders out for cleanliness if you're using lead.

Used Accurate #2 a LOOOOOOONG time ago and just don't remember. Tracy

Clays is much cheaper than Vhita powders. Clays is on the fast side, kinda close to 310 or 320. Pressure will increase fast by going over charge even a little bit.

That's the prob with fast powders------no room for error.

If you're looking for max velocity powders, Power Pistol shoots clean the hotter you load. Tracy
