It might be some build up from the polishing liquid. So long as your cases are coming out well polished, I wouldn't worry about it. If it really bothers you, try cleaning it off with something like Simple Green.

Cleaning out your tumbler?
I ran a bunch of cases through my Dillon FL2000 tumbler this weekend. While I had the bowl empty, I noticed that a "skin" of some sort had formed inside the bowl. It didn't readily scrape off with a fingernail and felt sort of plastic like. I don't know if this is some sort of deterioration of the bowl material or a build up from media. I have only used corn cob with Dillon's polishing liquid in it.
Has anyone else seen this? Anything to worry about (like I need to look for another worry)?

Is it all black colored? If it is, then I would agree with Billy Ray. Just scrape if out if it bothers you or if it starts to inhibit the action of the brass when the tumblers in use.
Thanks guys! It was just an oddity kinda thing & thought I'd see if anyone else had ever seen it or had a problem from leaving it alone.

I wipe my tumbler/vibrator clean on the inside with plain old Windex and a paper towel. The crud comes out black and green. The media lasts a lot longer, and the brass comes clean faster than when I don't wipe it out.
