I soak the barrel in Hoppes No. 9 while I clean the frame and slide.
I use a quality brake cleaner for quick degreasing of the slide rails.
After the Q-tips and toothbrush cleanup, I relube the slide and frame (I like Action Lube).
Then I brush out the barrel and run a few dry patches thru. Then use Shooters Choice Lead Remover if I've shot cast, or Hoppes Benchrest Copper solvent if I've shot jacketed. If the barrel is really fouled, I'll run a patch or two of JB Bore Cleaner.
Again, brush and patch.
I then follow up with a patch of Tetra-Gun oil.
