I have not measured the gap but it seem like it was/is something like a 1/16 inch or so. Not huge but no so little the clip hits the frame and slide. The tip of the clip is turned outwards IIRC to aid in replacing the pistol in your belt.

Just enough to slip without a belt and just enough to be snug with any belt. You have to keep the belt snug, or sitting down could cause it to lean out when slack...still has not moved at all on me, and the small of the back is best. You cant it a bit so the grip touches your belt line

Thanks for the replies, in pictures it looks like there is very little gap.
When you are carrying SOB, If you are right handed is there a lefty clip so the butt of the gun points to your right?? I haven't seen one?

NO, that would interfere with the slide release...but I bet it's even easier to reach if you are lefty, as the grip is already on the left SOB. Seems pretty easy either way.
