CLW Commander 70 Series...almost there

I picked up a series 70 Colt Lightweight Commander in very good shape and have made a few changes... a longtrigger, commander round hammer, Wilson barrel bushing and new springs. Now its time for the sights..everything I have done can be put back to stock but I want a dovetail cut for the frontsight. Should I go with the .055 stakeon or get the dovetail cut in the slide. I doubt this pistol will ever be more than a shooter but I hate to cut the slide.

A properly staked-on sight will not shoot loose. The only reason I can see for a dovetail sight is for tritiums, since they need to be replaced every ten years or so.
