Just thought I'd share a quick story of shooting satisfaction.

I'd been wanting to get my first 1911 for a long time. And I always knew I wanted it to be a Colt, something of quality, of pedigree, in .45, all-purpose...

A few weeks ago I finally picked up a new Colt Combat Commander XSE Stainless. I took it home, inspected it for a long time, handled it, cleaned it, oiled it, dry fired it... ordered a nice holster for it.

Today I took it to the range and finally fired it. A lot. WWB 230g FMJ, Independence 230g FMJ, Remington Target 185g FMJ, Gold Dot 200g +P JHP, Gold Dot 230g JHP... zero malfunctions.

And now I myself know the joy so many have shared in common here. And I want more!

I have one also and love it. Had some feed issues at first but it has worked itself out thankfully. I now have lots of rounds thru her and no issues.

You will find they are addicting. Then once you get two they seem to multiply in the dark.

Sure, here it is dirty from the range. And you can see some spots where it picked up some of the new leather. Maybe I'll post more during/after cleaning. Edit: And after I start tinkering...
