Hope this is the correct forum, as I believe this is military related.
Picked the conversion unit up at a gun show yesterday and have reviewed it in Clawson's Commercial book, but I am somewhat confused(which is easy to do), as the LH side of the slide Logo seems to match a latter production.
The slide is serial U 812, the barrel and floating chamber are electopenciled with the same number. According to Clawson it was made between 6/22/38 and 1/4/43. It has the early Stevens sights Any help would be appreciated

It looks just like the one's on Sam's site - coltautos.com in the .22-.45 conversion unit section. His data says yours was made in 1939. He has several there to compare.
