Have any of you Colt 1911 owners had trouble with Fiocchi? I have used over 10 different brands of ammo in my Series 80 that I bought NIB in april. My 1911 has malfunctioned on two separate occasions with Fiocchi 230gr FMJs.

Fiocchi 230 fmj works very well, and is very accurate in each of the Colt 1911's I've tried it in.

I prefer it to Mag Tech, generic W/W or generic Remington, and much prefer it to S&B.

my series 70 loves it never jammed in around 800-1000 rounds, but it never jams, federal/pmc/blazer its just not fussy.

I put about a 1,000 rounds of Fiocchi 230 gr through my ORM 1991 without a hitch.

I use the .32 in my colt M1903 and never had a problem.

I might say I've used Wolf in my Commander with no hiccups as well.

The only problems I had with Fiocchi was in my 1911 ' s. But i replaced the springs and the ectracter and had no problems.

I replied to your post in the ammo folder. There is at least one person having issues (too long & too big in diameter) with Fiocchi ammo. I have had presure issues with Fiocchi. So I recommend you follow the advice saying if it does not work, stop using it.
