My gun has never jammed or failed to feed or failed to fire or anything. But one thing it does do is it has trouble ejecting a live round. I know that live rounds and spent casings act differently. But to the colt 1911 guys out there. What can I have a gunsmith do to my guns innards to make it perform smoother and more flawlessly? Or should I just keep on shooting it?

Check the extractor tension. If it's too weak it can let go of a live round and drop it inside the action. Too tight and it won't let go of the round.

My thoughts, buying a Colt is buying a nice gun I personally don't think you're just buying a name! My next thought is I LIKE IT, congratulations & thanks for sharing with us. Enjoy it.
