Went to the gun shop to pick up my SA Loaded. When I got there I was looking over the Springfield when what do my wondering eyes do appear? It werent no sled and eight reindeer. It was a used Stainless Combat Commander XS without a mark on her. Sorry Springfield. I had to get the XS, I even called Colt to verify the production and sure enough she was real.
Offered the guy 500.00 and we went home.
Hey JoeMc....
What a great deal! Sometimes it really pays off for the collectors of Colts when gunshop owners don't have a clue of what they're selling. You win, the shop lost.

Sam
I AGREE !! One heck of a buy, let us know how she runs after you take it out for a good test drive! That is one that I am missing from my collection, hope I can find a deal like that at the gun show this weekend (I doubt it!)
Great deal, great gun, and great purchase decision.
Well done -- a "real" XS is already a highly desireable gun (especially a Commander), and their relative scarcity is only going to make them more valuable with the passage of time. Call me crazy, but I'd take an XS over anything that Springfield could offer me.
Great deal Joe! I have a Colt Combat Commander XS and love it. Found another on an auction site that the guy shot 20 rounds through. I bought it cause it was there. I'll by any Colt XS I can find. It was new! I got it for $546 and couldn't figure why he was getting rid of it. When I got it, it would FTE. Adjusted the tension on the extractor and now it is flawless. Now I can shoot one and leave the other in the safe. I thought I got a good deal, but your's was even better. Way to go!

If it wasn't for the NRA, the second ammendment would already be gone!
