I saw a two tone Combat Special Government a few weeks ago that I just can't get out of my heae!!! I haven't been able to find any pricing on it (checked gunbroker and gunfinder but only found a stainless steel one for around $1600.)

Any ideas what I should pay for this NIB pistol?

Thanks for any suggestions. I don't know much about 1911s & have only owned a few Kimber Custom pistols (traded them in). This Colt just intriques me although I can't find much info on it or its reliabilty etc.

That being done, for the money, I still believe it's better to buy a base model Colt 1991A1 and have a top name gunsmith work it for you.

There's a NIB Combat Special for sale in my area (D/FW) for $1,199.00. I'm going to buy it tomorrow.
