I'm just playing with a light booth today. I hate the backdrops that came with this one and I'm going to have to hit the local Michaels for some better colors. This is the Commander I got my first CHL with and I carried it for about six months. At the time I was walking around a lake everyday about 5 miles. I waist carried this and after the summer I noticed some rust in the barrel. I sent the gun back to Colt and they without issue replaced the barrel and cleaned the gun up a little. Did I mention I love Gun Porn!

Likin' your light booth. I agree when you take pics of silver guns to use a dark background. White is usually not a good background color as it often causes the camera sensor to add too much blue to the image.

Thanks, my girl was here all week so it was hard to take photos and the light box arrived Thursday. I built my last one but this time I just ordered one with a light system. I've spent the better part of the day playing with different settings and light controls. The black backdrop is so glossy it makes it hard to work with. Of course all these guns have a rod from a custom holder I made in the barrel that has to be cut out. When the background changes drastically in shades it makes it much more work to cut the rod out. Also I'm finding changing the light intensity and the guns finish makes a big difference. Here is a little Springfield Armory 9mm that gets a great deal of range time.

I wondered how bright small parts would look, against matte, so thanks for sharing this last one, it helped me make up my mind.
