I am getting ready to start my first build. I bought a stainless Government Caspain frame off a friend of mine (FFL). I would like to build a Commander, and don't want to cut the frame down to fit (in case I decide to change it later). I have a Springfield Lightweight Government that I use for off-duty carry now, and would like a Commander length pistol. Has anyone else any built a similar pistol? If so, or if you know of someone who has, have you heard of any problems with it? If anyone has any pics, please include them. Thanks.

Thanks for all of the replies. When I read my post, I realized it sounded like I was asking for help in cutting a government frame to fit a commander. What I meant to ask was if anyone had built a commander using a government frame with no modifications to the frame. And if so, how did it work? Sorry if I confused anyone.
