I have a Colt 1991 NRM Stainless Government Model in .38 Super. I still want to be able to shoot Supers, but I would like to know what my options are for making this a dual caliber gun that will shoot 9mm also. I was thinking that all I would need is to have a 9mm barrel and different magazines. Is this correct? Would I have to have a different bushing for the 9mm barrel? What source for a 9mm barrel? I would love an actual Colt barrel. Is that a possibility, or would I be better off with an aftermarket one? Any suggestions on who to have fit the barrel? What are the best 9mm 1911 magazines? Thanks.

I had not thought about the recoil spring or of the third caliber option (9x23). In addition to the initial questions, let me add this one. What weight recoil springs do those three calibers (9mm, .38 Super, and 9x23) need to run reliably? Thanks!
