I have a P-16 40 that I dearly love. I also have a whole bunch of .45 ACP ammo that I would like to be able to use. Can this conversion be made? What parts other than a barrel and a magazine would be required? What would the cost be?

Just buy a 45!

If it wasn't for the NRA, the second ammendment would already be gone!

Yup...get a 45.

I'd suggest Kimber or Baer, depending on price range you're interested in. Both are the highest quality/$ ratio I've used (personal opinion, of course).

If you want a hi-cap .45, just buy a P14-45. It would only cost maybe a couple hundred more then the price of the parts for the conversion and it would come with a warranty.
