Is there any way of insuring that I get the "correct" grip and dust cover contours when ordering a pistol from SA? I want to order a GI and have some work done to it but the blockyness of some of the pistols irritates me and I dont want to pay to send it back to have it corrected. Any suggestions?

The new contours have been around since '02, so I doubt you're going to find a new pistol with the old.

Unfortunatly, I have seen NIB Springfields with both or one or the other the pre-2002 spec.

NIB doesn't necessarily mean recent manufacture; they were unfired, or they were recently made?
