Do all the CQB compacts have cone barrels? Is it possible to specify a traditional barrel and bushing?

It seems like the protector compacts do not have cone barrels, is this correct?

I believe ALL of the compacts have bull/cone barrels. I don't this the compact slides have "cut outs" for the barrel bushing to fit in for a "traditional barrel bushing".

Besides, cone barrels seem like a good idea in the short guns.

Hmmm, that's interesting Will.

How does the recoil spring setup work? I'm only familiar with the Kimber compact plug that needs a paper clip to be removed.

Greg,
You need an allen wrench to take apart the two piece guiderod. Once that's done, you take off the slide and you can remove the recoil spring. I prefer this type of takedown over my Kimber since I can access the spring without having to worry about how I'm going to put that recoil/guide rod assembly back together on the Kimber without the spring hitting me in the face.
