I just purchased ny first 1911 (pt-1911ar). I was thinking about getting the crimson trace grips but have been reading that some 1911 grips don't fit right because of the abmi safety. Has anyone ever tried the crimson trace grips on their pt1911 and if so how do they fit

I have Crimson Trace grips on my Springer, & they do have the ambi safety cut.
I'm sure they would fit my Taurus PT1911, The only thing you might have to change is
the grip screws, as the dia. of the screw head is a little larger then standard 1911 grip screws.

I have a PT1911 Duotone. I had to decide which CT grips to get. They make ones for ambi safety and single sided ones. I wanted to get rid of the ambi safety so I bought the regular CT grips and put a single sided safety on mine.
So far I am happy with it. I did not like the Taurus ambi safety. It is a little to big for my taste. I bought a Para Ordance single saftety and it went in perfectly. But I already had a Para so I was able to test the fit before I bought one.
