My CC should be at Alchemy Custom in a few hours for a little work and a refinish. The gun runs great, but needed a little freshening up and a few touches that Rob is going to make happen.

More to follow...But now I wait :grumble:

Matt I have a Commander slide coming back from Rob right now, he put a Gold dot front sight on it. I also have a full-size Wiley Clapp that he did a few things on a year ago that is an amazing pistol. You will be pleased with his work and the turn around...

What are you having done?
I want my Custom Carry :( What special touches are you having done to yours?
- Extra extractor
- Trigger guard checkering
- Chamfer slide
- Chamfer slide stop hole
- Refinish entire gun in Hard Hat

I'm not going to bling it out with fancy slide top stuff and borderwork, just subtle stuff I like. Obviously if Rob sees anything out of whack he'll address it.

Clean pics followed by dirty pics soonest. I just reloaded 3k more rounds last week :D

Jimmy Hat

Nope, I think I'll wait for the proprietary "Jimmy Hat" treatment.

It uses latex mixed with special lubricious materials that smell like pina colada get warm when you blow on them.

:)
This seemed kinda relevant here.

The old ones are always the best ones.

What type of finish is "hard hat"?
I don't know the details of the process, but it is a really tough black finish. From what I'm told it's a step up up from Baer Coat. It costs twice as much so it must be twice as nice!

Wow, you dredged up an oldie! :biglaugh:
