I picked up one from the first batch Bud's had. I've only had it to the range once and didn't do any critical testing on the accuracy, but had no problem busting clay pigeons at 25 yards. The gun is beautiful and ran flawless. Slide/Frame fit had a touch of play. Trigger is a nice and crisp, breaking at 4lbs even. Sent the card in for the letter, and received a postcard in a few days saying it would be 4 to 6 months before I would get the letter, but then it came about a week later!

No MIM parts, all forged. Black Nitride finish. Pete Single 20LPI checkering, round butt and large bevel magwell. EGW sear and slide stop. Maybe a couple other EGW parts in there as well. Novak thumb safety with no downward play and a grip safety with WAY LESS gap Looks like a carry beveled slide as well.

Could be a Harrison trigger there too. These guns are awesome.

had to repost this yummy gun porn! this custom is awesome....now....if i can just convince brent to make one in all bare stainless...have him send me a top secret message of when it will be available to be shipped to my ffl dealer and gimmie the awesome customer appreciation price...man...brent was right...im seeing alot of different colts being rolled out ...variety is the spice of life and colt is finally listening!:rock:

Hi all, I just joined up on the forum recently... As I've been switching gears with my gun buying from SAA's and clone single actions to Colt 1911's. Mostly because they're available and much more reasonably priced than those guns just mentioned. I just acquired a 70 series GCNM on Buds and stumbled across this Custom Shop Colt rail gun on Buds too. Haven't received it yet, but it's bought and its a'comin.
I keep a close eye on Buds now because they do make good on refunding price reductions for 30 days after a purchase. I should say the Nortons price guarantee does. Got about $50 bucks refunded to PayPal (they will mail a check too) on the GCNM gun. I caught it when the price took a little weekend dip of $1115.
Anyway, I can send up a smoke signal to you Busa Dave , if one pops up there and you are willing to buy from Buds - if you gotta have one. I've done about 5 Colts with them over a few years with no problems so far.

Btw,, nice photos there Mr. Bumps.. Nice to know that the Colt letter is apparently expedited in some way to receive it that fast.. Unless you know Paul or others in the Colt Archives dept.
