Hi Guys,
I will be sending my SA loaded for some warranty work. While there I'm planning to get an action job with the tool steel hammer and sear (costs $215 and includes their own tool steel hammer & sear). Now I already have a brand-new WC hammer and EGW sear that I can send in but the rep told me it may still end up costing the same because it may take more time to fit.

What is your experience with this?

Has SA charged you their full stated price even though you included the parts?

For example, supplying the barrel bushing, thumb safety, trigger, etc.

Thanks in advance.

My experience is that they will charge only for the work to fit the new parts.

For example, when I sent in my loaded for warranty work, I also sent my pistol to the custom shop.

I provided a new barrel and bushing, they charged me $135 to fit the barrel and bushing. (it costs $290 if SA provides the parts)

I also sent in a new extractor and fps to fit to the pistol. They only charged me to tune the extractor. They didn't even charge me to fit the fps.

Of course this is my personal experience.

I never received any kind of itemized statement from the Springfield Custom Shop telling me how much they charged for what, but they never had any problem installing any aftermarket parts I included with both my pistols.
