Howdy good folks, I'm the proud owner of a HP thats only a couple of years old. Everything is stock, I bought it new. I really don't like the trigger. C&S advertises a trigger that is wider than stock and does not support the magazine disconnect safety. Have any of you tried this? If so, is it worth it? what do you guys do to make your HP triggers better? Thanks in advance for your replies.

My Hi Power has the C&S wide trigger. It is much more comfortable to shoot for me, because it is wider than stock and it helps spread the weight of the trigger pull over a greater area, thus making the pull feel lighter. Mine was installed as part of a trigger job, also with the C&S ring hammer.

I have two HP's. Both have the wide trigger. One was installed by me and the other part of a C&S trigger job. He uses slightly different triggers when he fits them himself. They have a larger overtravel stop and can be stoned to help with the trigger reset. There is a pretty big difference. I prefer the wide trigger, but I wish he would sell the "gunsmithing" required trigger seperately. Maybe he would if you asked. I had to invest in two HP's and two triggers to learn for myself.

I thought I would add some to the discussion. I had Bill do some work on a BHP for me. Bar-Sto barrel, trigger job, remove the mag safety, and new sights. Very limited work, just the meat of the gun.

Well it is a real shooter. Very accurate and reliable. I have shot it in a variety of matches, it has allows performed flawlessly.

I did not have the combat trigger, hammer or safety installed the first time.

Since it performs better than my STI, I have sent it back to Cylinder and Slide to hve these upgrades installed.

I am a big fan of Bill and his staff. They have produced outstanding work.

I do not htink you can go wrong with anything that C&S produces.

Thanks for the opportunity to add my two cents.
