Well I just purchased another Kimber this morning on the internet. Got me a Kimber Classic Custom that is stamped Clackamas, OR. Hopefully it will show up next week. I am also on the "call-list" at my local Cabela's for the Custom Carry II that they have exclusively. These two pistols will bring the Kimber total up to 7 :)

I'll get pictures up after I have both of them in hand.

I'll show my ignorance by asking what is special about Clackamas? I bought a gold combat II and Pro CDP II a couple years ago.

The "Clackamas" Kimbers were the first 1911's made by Kimber. They are generally regarded as the best 1911 Kimbers ever put out, with the best QC and least amount of MIM parts. They are the guns that put Kimber on the 1911 map, and forced all the other manufactures to up the ante.

Actually, the Clackamas Kimbers had more MIM parts (bushing) than the current models (excluding the external extractor models.) :)

The parts were made in Spain in Kimber's molds.
