Call Ron Herman at Hogue Grips - 800-438-4747 dial # 212

If you tell him what you want he will pick em out for you.

Check out their website to get ideas first. You can pretty much see all the woods they have on guns.

They were pretty inexpensive so I got 2 pairs one in Kingswood and one in Coco Bollo. Both have very interesting grain and look much better than the original Kimber grips.

In general Rosewood, Kingwood, and Coco-bolo are the dark panels.

Walnut is lighter, as is Cordia, and Tulipwood.

My favorite is Ahrends, I have fully checkered (Combat checkered) both for mag-well ("pin-covered") and regular. The Brownell's dealer price is about $24 for regular and $32 for pin-covered.
