Do you have a prize table or cash payback?
Do you have both open and limited divisions?
Do you have a classification system if so how does it work?
Where in Mississippi is Lake Cormorant located?
Is this going to be a yearly event if so will it be at the same time each year?
Sorry for all the questions. I will post a notice about your shoot in the shop as I have several customers along with myself who like to shoot steel and I'm sure all of these questions will be ask of me. Thanking you in advance for your help.

Bob,
The entry fee does not afford a payback. However, it allow one to shoot the match at Mid-south, lunch and about 1/4 of the shooters will receive trophies.

The rule book covers most of your other questions. It can be found at http://weaponstraining.com/mania/index.htm
But, basically the only weapons restraint is no comps or optics.

Check out the website (www.weaponstraining.com) for a general map to MISS. It is located about 20 minutes south of Memphis, TN, 10 miles west of I55.

We have held about 7 Metal Manias and we offer about 3 a year. It is a fantastic day of shooting. You'll see very few one-day matches with an individual target count > 175 steel plates! It also allows you a chance to check out Mid-South Institute's substantial range setup. (there are over 27 ranges!)
Hi benzh,
Thanks for the imformation. I checked out the rule book on the web site and will pass all the imformation on to any shooters that come in the shop that are interested. I'll be honest with you I doubt any shooters that come in the shop will drive from Missouri to Mississippi to compete for just a plaque. Sounds like the shoot would be a lot of fun and a good time, wished I lived closer. Thanks again for all your help.

Hunter, to help us appeal to as large a group of shooters as possible, what would bring more shooters to the match?

Thanks
Howard

Hi benzh,
Most of the shooters I know want to shoot for a prize table or cash pay back. A good example is when I was shooting pins all the time we would drive all the way to South Connellsville PA (16 hours) to compete in their pin match but it was all cash pay back.
Maybe plaques and a prize table or plaques and cash pay back together would work. I understand you would have to charge a higher entry fee but I think most people don't mind that if they are getting a good return if they win.The thing about a prize table it will send everyone home with something and you don't need a classification system because they can go to the table in the order they placed in the match.
