I know the sights are different, but are there any other changes/reasons why you would want one over the other? I haven't had any luck finding a Commander XS although I've seen several XSE's listed for sale. How much trouble would it be to install the Novak type sights on a XSE? Thanks

There is a Colt Lightweight Commander XS for sale over on TFL IIRC.

I have a XS GM and I love it, just wish the ejector didn't loosen so quickly!!

Eats it all up but spits it out in different places, ha ha. Gonna get that fixed soon though.

IIRC:

XS has different: sights, beavertail, ambi safety. There are probably more things, but I didn't look at the XSE's that much.

It shouldn't be any more difficul;t to put Novaks on a XSE than any other Colt. One advantage to the XSE, over the XS, is the sight cut of the XSE allows you to do whatever aftermarket sight installtion you want. As much as I'd like an XS, the white-dot sights would have to go, and what else would fit? OK, I know Heinie makes a sight to fit the XS cut, but the cuts are supposed to be very inconsistent, and I'd like to have my 'smith make a perfect fit.
