Winchester Black Talon, there is some difference(s) b/t this and the civie SXT, right?
Jim H referenced it a bit ago, for instance.
Anyone want to 'splain this to me?

There's quite a bit of difference, really. IMHO, the SXT is marginal, at best.

The current Ranger Talon and the original Black Talon bullets had sharp edges when expanded which provided more wounding potential.

Lots of info out there on the forums.

so, the current ranger talon is the LEO stuff?
And that isn't the same bullet as the SXT?

Ranger Talon is a restricted item, and is completely different than the civilian marketed SXT load.

IMHO your are much better off with a standard heavyweight JHP from Winchester, Remington, or Federal. In .45acp the Winchester USA 230gr JHP is my choice.
