I really like the looks of that finish. Do you work for Larson? How long would the turn-around time be (note my location)? Can you give me some idea of the price range (for FFL holders)?

I dont just work for them, I'm the owner of Larson Tactical Modifications (L.T.M). Our turn around time is approx 14 days once the equipment/firearm is received. Our prices vary depending on which pattern you want and how much is being refinished there is a price chart listed on our web site http://www.larsontactical.com.

Good looking rifle brother.... I hope it shoots as good as it looks!!

The stock on that... Is it the one that has the small round canisters that can hold batteries for say an aimpoint?

How does that wider cheek rest feel?
Does it make a notable difference?

The stock on my M4 is a Magpul 93B.
a.k.a The Robot Leg Stock :biglaugh:

When I asked how much time it took to make, I wasn't really reffering to turn around time as an order, but more on the craftsman level. How long did you spend of your time on that rifle to make such a finish?

This had about 16 hrs of just taping, measuring and painting. But I'm real anal about template placement.

Naturalselector - I love the Magpul 93B stock. Yes the stock made a huge difference in my cheek to stock weld. It is a wide solid nonmoving surface I'll never switch back to the six pos stock.

Ya brother I was thinking of changing mine out for the Viltor one... However after seeing yours and your comments I think I am going to pick one up next pay day for one of the Colts and give it a whirl...

I will throw up some picks in a couple of weeks when I get it and let you know how it does... thanks for the info and sorry for semi-hijacking the gun porn thread... :biglaugh:

You wont regret the Magpul. I think I'm going to get the MIAD grip next.

I have never owned a Viltor but I have shot rifles with them on it. It is a good well thought out stock but it just wasnt for me. Now that I dont have to be clean shaven every day (some times I even go three or four days now) I noticed that it would pull on my wiskers where the compartment hooks on to the stock.

Talking about losing a camo gun, that happened to a fella back home. He leaned it up against a tree to drag a downed deer out and couldnt find it when he went back. an orange sticker might be cheap insurance:mummy:

I am feeling pretty good about it myself... Not only will the fit and feel be much better, but it will improve the looks of the rifle... In fact this is the last touch for this particular Colt.. I think I am gonna send it to you once I get the stock installed and have you throw a camo job on it...

Then I will be done!!! I promise... !! :biglaugh:
