I got to hold a Dlask pistol - and shoot it - and the 1911 bar was from then onwards forever raised (quality, accuracy, fit and finish, attention to detail etc. etc.).
I ended up buying one, and received it last month (see below): It's a totally Custom job, all Stainless, in .45 ACP with curved mainspring housing and Nowling trigger. True 1911 configuration (no series 80 safety) makes for SuperSweet trigger pull. Rubber Hogue double diamond checked grips - fits like a glove.
If you can swing it, there's nothing like a top level gun that's made to order.
If you have an appreciation for these kinds of things you may not want to test drive a Dlask unless you're ready to buy one - else all it'll do is make everthing else seem lower by comparison (IMHO).
