Currently I have a stock loaded stainless model. It looks OK, but where the stainless is shiney it's got little tiny scratches. I'm sending it to the custom shop anyway...should I have them put a matte finish on the gun? Does anybody have pictures of what this would look like, maybe with a standard carry treatment?

Get it bead blasted to a matte finish. Anyone can do it, doesn't have to be a gunsmith.

love the look chuck. Looks hardchromed. I might need to do that to my CBOB. What can one expect to pay a random bead blasting outfit for a complete job.

OP, what did SA quote you on the blast?

Surface is non-reflective and came this way from the factory. The Gunsmithing Forum may have info on what size media to glass bead blast it with.
