The title pretty much says it all. I'm looking for a stainless 1911 fullsize for carry and I was just wondering if they made a lightweight version or if the LW is only bi-tone.

Only Bi-Tone. The frame is Aluminum, so it would not be possible to have it in stainless steel. You might be able to have the frame anodized in another color, but you would need to contact the SA Custom Shop or another gunsmith who handles such things in order to get this done.

No reason the frame can't be anodized and clear finished.

Chuck is right, but coming from SA it would have to be a special order. You can always contact them and ask. Asking costs nothing. At worst, you'll get a number back that you don't like. You just might find out that it isn't as expensive as you had feared.
