I was supposed to pick up my SA 9mm target yesterday. When I arrived at the store, sales guy told me they got a call from DOJ saying their computers were off...........so a lot of new purchased/recently transfered firearms could not be released until further notice. What the F**********

That's what I was getting at, so he was correct about the DOJ.
Background checks for gun purchases are conducted by the FBI, NOT the ATF. Both fall under the Department of Justice.
Yeah, either way it's DOJ since BATFE got moved to DOJ from Treasury.
Gotta love kalifornia
