I just saw a DE in 10mm at a local gun shop. I just did a search here and learned a bit about them. Is this a good deal? Any thoughts appreciated!

if you want it, buy it. I never see them in 10mm around here.

I had my eye on one, in a local shop, for over five years. It sat there, with the price fluctuating between $650-$750, and I decided I'd buy it, if the price ever got down around $550. The day the WSJ said Colt wouldn't be selling any more guns to the public, it disappeared. Haven't seen one (10mm, adjustable rear sight) since. I have no need for a big-bore DA service pistol, but if I did, I would definitely give the Double Eagle a look.

there are two double eagle 10mm on gunbroker right now. I personal own two of these great firearms in 10mm and one officers .45 and with Texas Ammo loads, they are one kick A** piece of mo-chenery
