What is a good drop in bushing out there? I'm having a hard time finding a colt made one (Colt won't sell me one and brownells is out as well as other Colt dealers that I've tried). I heard the EGW Angle Bored Bushings are pretty good for a pre-fitted or drop-in bushing....thoughts?

I have purchased a Commander bushing from Wilsons Combat. They are also available from Ed Brown and Cylinder and Slide.

Wilson Combat: www.wilsoncombat.com
Ed Brown: www.edbrown.com
Cylinder&Slide:http://cylinder-slide.com/

Wilson may have drop in, but I'm sure they all have oversize bushings; don't worry that these might be "Oversized". All that usually means is the area that meets the slide, and a little bit of sand paper is all you need to fit the bushing to the slide. Just go slow and don't sand more off the bushing than you need to. If you know how to do a detailed disassembly and reassembly, you can fit a bushing.

I hope this helps.

Hey T if you decide on one and it works, let me know, I might be interested in trying it.
