Ok, so I see some of the master makers here using or referring to E2 parts. I really liked that commander "comet" hammer Mr. Derr used on one of his recent posts. So my question is this. I can't find anything on these parts through normal means. Perhaps these parts are not available to the non professional, mere mortal, hobbyists. Would like to explore a bit so any information on maker, info, resources would be welcome.

Perhaps he meant A2. These are grades of "tool steel". S7 is another grade typically used in ignition components.

E2=Extreme Engineering.

Not every thing they make is available to the masses. They make a lot of proprietary stuff as well. You might check with Greg on that hammer. It may be something proprietary to him.
