I think you have to request that the owner take the slide off and send you some photos of the underside of it. You could also call WC and tell them what you are looking for and give them the serial number and see what comes up.

I have a Colt that I had done in 1995 and it is marked "Wilson Combat" on the dust cover (it was not something that I asked for but I'm perfectly fine with it). At that time I believe if someone had at least $500 of work done that they marked them this way. That's my experience anyway, but yours was done 10 years before mine. See if you can have a look at the whole invoice.

I would want to know that the serial number on the invoice matches the gun. I would CALL Wilson and I am betting they could verify.

That gun is sweet! I'd say it's worth 3k for sure. I'm betting in 100 years the hand fit guns will be of way more value than the machine fit guns. At least to me they will...
