Has anyone used one of these in a full size Kimber?? I bought one to replace the stock MIM hammer, as it has a large imperfection on the surface. For some reason, it would not drop past the half-cock notch once the beavertail was back in. With just the hammer, trigger, sear, disconnector, and sear spring in, it functioned fine. Any ideas as to what could be binding up??

TIA,

Mike

(When I put the original hammer back in, everything returned to normal)

There are 2 suspect areas. The first is the back of the hammer actually binding on the Grip safety. The second is the hammer strut hitting in the GS channel.Marker or Dykem the front of the GS right behind the hammer and in the strut channel. That should show the prob area.I would suspect #1 as the cause,is this where the imperfection is?If it's bad,I'd ask for a replacement.
