Did anyone notice that EB posted a note on his sight saying his 1911s
were about 1 1/2" accurate at 50yds?

Yes

Greyson- its in the FAQ section of his site. Also received that statement from him in an e-mail. Judging from my new Kobra, I believe it. They do turn out one fantastic pistol.

I can't either, nor could I see a 1 1/2" target at that distance

Oh. I believe it also. I know 2 of my 3 EBs are that accurate.
It is just nice to see them post some data that is more specific.

The use of a Kobra made a HUGE difference in my shooting at a gun
school. After which I sold most of my other guns. 1911s included.
