The more I look into getting a blue finished 1911, the more I'm wanting something with the older enhanced slide. The one with the flat top, angled cocking serrations, and none on the front of the slide. Is the Gold Cup the only model produced like this now? I saw a photo somewhere of one with this slide on a Govt. model. What years was this produced? As also with the officers model. I just like the looks better than the straight cocking serrations.

Since 1992, only the M1991A1 has had the vertical cocking serrations. Government Models, Commanders and OACPs (except their '91A1 versions) had the flat-top slide and angled serrations until the XS series came out in 1999. So, you have about eight years of "enhanced" production to choose from.
