Who has the most experience with the SA "cone" barrel, no bushing set up? This 1911 A-1 is my first one.
Since this one is Champion sized and I have large hands, I am not shooting it until I have a beaver tail safety installed.

My Ultra Compact has the bushing less barrel you describe. The gun shoots better than most people would expect. Three to four inch groups at 15 yds offhand are pretty much the "norm" for me with the gun. For the intended use of the gun this is more than adequate.

Thanks. This one is not going to be a tack driver. Four inches is fine with me.
