hello everyone. I am having a strange issue with getting a FTF only when the magazine has a full 8 rounds, and only on hollow points. If it has 7,6,4,2 anything other than 8 it feeds just fine. It is a CMC mag, just seems like a strange issue. No damage to the mag, feed ramp is polished, barrel is throated. Everything is on par with what it should be. I'm new to the 1911 platform, so ask of you all with your knowledge, what should i be looking at first? Thanks..

Don't assume it's the pistol at this point. If the mag your using is new then my suggestion is to shoot 100 rounds or so loading only 7. Then try loading the full 8. So times a mag just needs to break in. If you still have problems, grab some other mags, wilson combat has some nice 8 rounders. If you still have an issue then look to other issues. I only use 8 rounders at the range. When it counts I use only 7 rounds mags.

Hmm, well after disassembly for the pictures and putting it back together, it loaded up just fine. Strange.

oooofa.......that feedramp looks rough.

How about a pic of the barrel fully pushed to the rear in the frame.

The pic of the barrel mouth is too out of focus and too poorly illuminated
to help.
