Upon close examination this pistol has all the M1911A1 improvements you'd expect, including the hump-shaped backstrap.
Even I can see this is a M1911-notA1 frame, grips, and trigger...

It might have a degree of credibility if the slide wasn't so heavily buffed out and reblued...naw. Clearly, it's a fake.

Build it and someone will buy it.

Remington Rand had a stylized R with a globe in the circle of the R that was on some of their business machines. A dealer on the west coast made up a few pistols with this stylized logo, and the collectors snapped them up.

I've also seen pics of a gun with "Winchester" engraved on the slide, purported to be some sort of pre-production sample. In the same book/magazine there was a pic of a gun with "Mauser" on the slide, too. I'd like one with "BMW" on the slide, please.
